Harry N. Cutting American Legion Post 59 of Waterbury celebrated its 101st birthday, and the Sons of the American Legion Squad 59 celebrated its 39th birthday, on Feb. 22 at the post in Waterbury.
James Stewart, Vermont Public Radio host, will present “Musical ‘ISMS’: An Introduction to Music in the 20th Century,” the final talk in the Lamoille Valley Osher Lifelong Learning Institute’s Winter 2020 series, on Wednesday, March 4, at the Commodores Inn, 823 South Main St., Stowe.
The Sons of American Legion Post 59 in Waterbury recently had a gun raffle fundraiser to support different non-profit organizations. The $3,000 raised will go to the Waterbury Area Senior Center, St. Jude Children's Hospital, American Legion programs and The National Guard Family Support Services.
