Michael’s on the Hill is hosting its annual Vermont Fresh Network Farmers’ Dinner on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. The dinner allows guests to connect the food they eat with the producer. Guests have the opportunity to enjoy a local meal while getting to know the farmers as well as their products.
The Vermont Fresh Network recently honored Michael’s on the Hill with the Golden Barn Designation. To qualify as a Golden Barn honoree, restaurants are required to use local produce on the menu from a minimum of 15 Vermont Farm Network farms. Thirty percent of food purchases must be from Vermont producers.
In addition to many other honors, Michael Kloeti was recognized as Vermont’s first “Chef of the Year” and he and his wife, Laura, were named “Vermont Restaurateurs of the Year” by the Vermont Hospitality Council.
