Joan C. Duffy, 83, a longtime resident of Waterbury Center, died in her sleep in the comfort of her home and family on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019. She had battled cancer the last months of her life.

A celebration of the life of Capt. Douglas Finlay, 96, of Moretown, a retired U.S. Navy captain who died Dec. 7, 2018, will be held Jan. 12 at 11 a.m. at Waterbury Congregational Church, 8 N. Main St., followed by a reception in the church dining room.
