The Green Mountain Woodcarvers will hold their 46th annual Woodcarving Show on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rusty Parker Park, 51 S. Main St./Park Row, Waterbury.

After 41 years in Morrisville, club members decided to move the show to a more central location to help promote woodcarving.

Carvers from Vermont and New England will display and demonstrate their work, and children and adults will get a chance to try soap carving. This is a good opportunity to learn how woodcarvers, using simple hand tools, transform a block of wood into a piece of art.

As always, the show is free. Information: Bob Lindermann, 229-2062; Matt Strong, 253-2957.
