A dedication celebration last Friday at the Grange Hall Cultural Center in Waterbury Center honored the many community contributions of longtime Grange #237 members Louise Welch, Annette White and Richard White. Welch’s daughter, April Schwendler attended in memory of her mother, who died in 2017. The kitchen was dedicated to Annette White and Welch; the mechanical room was dedicated to Richard White.

The Waterbury Center Grange #237 was chartered in 1895, and was headquartered at 317 Howard Ave. from 1929 to October of 2015.

Monica Callan and Peter Holm bought the building in 2016, and have turned it into a community space for art, music, performances and more.
