Police are looking for a man who made off with cash and cigarettes after robbing a Waterbury convenience store early Sunday morning.

At 12:35 a.m. on Aug. 18, Vermont State Police responded to Billings Mobil on Waterbury-Stowe Road after a man entered the store with a knife and demanded money and a carton of Marlboro cigarettes.

The man fled with about $300 and the cigarettes; a canine unit was deployed but could not track the robber, who police described a man in his 20s or 30s, about 6 feet tall with a medium build and wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the State Police Middlesex Barracks at 229-9191.
