Oct. 10 at 4 p.m., after a traffic stop on Interstate 89 in Sharon, police charged Esperanza Ash, 47, of Waterbury with driving under the influence of alcohol. 

Oct. 24 at 4 p.m., Joshua M. Clark, 27, of Burlington was driving a tow truck north on Interstate 89 in South Burlington when a wheel fell off the vehicle he was towing. The tire rolled across the median and into the southbound lane, where it struck a Toyota Camry driven by Eric D. Friedman, 42, of Waterbury. There were no injuries, but the collision caused moderate damage to the driver’s side of Friedman’s car. The incident remains under investigation.

Oct. 25 at 10 p.m., police responded to a report of a two-car crash on Route 100 in Waitsfield, but found the situation was much different. According to police, Edith Lundquist, 59, of Albany said a vehicle struck her car while attempting to pass and did not stop. But police found that there was no second car, and Lundquist’s car was damaged when she went off the road and struck a gate. Police charged Lundquist with leaving the scene of an accident and providing false information to police. 

Oct 27 at 10:45 p.m., after a car went off East Road in Waitsfield, police charged the driver, William Carriero, 29, of Waitsfield, with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Note: Charges filed by police are subject to review by prosecutors and can be amended or dropped. This includes reports from the two Vermont State Police troopers assigned to Waterbury, as well as other local incidents.
