Sept. 7 at 8:42 p.m., after responding to a report of a family fight on South Main Street in Waterbury, police charged Dale Brooks, 55, of Waterbury with aggravated domestic assault and interference with access to emergency services. According to police, Brooks prevented the alleged victim from calling for help. He was held for lack of $5,000 bail.

Sept. 10 at 9:43 a.m., after a traffic stop on Route 64 in Williamstown, police charged Cyrus Scribner, 32, of Warren, with driving after criminal license suspension.

Sept. 11, police charged Andrea Wheelock, 40, of Waitsfield, with embezzlement and grand larceny. According to police, Wheelock was a part-time book keeper for Thomas Engineering Associates in Waitsfield; while there, she allegedly gave herself unauthorized raises and wrote company checks to herself.

Note: Charges filed by police are subject to review by prosecutors and can be amended or dropped. This includes reports from the two Vermont State Police troopers assigned to Waterbury, as well as other local incidents.
