Oct. 2 at 3:25 p.m., police charged Crystal G. Porter, 45, of Cambridge with violating conditions of release from an earlier case. Police allege Porter was harassing a person in Jericho. It is unclear what underlying charge Porter faces that led to her having conditions of release in the first place.

Oct. 18 at 2:02 p.m., a theft was reported from Chuck’s Veggie Stand on Loomis Hill Road in Waterbury Center. Police said the thief made off with canned jelly, jam and vegetables between 7 p.m. Oct. 16 and 7 a.m. Oct. 17. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Richard Ostrout, 229-9191.

Oct. 19 at 11:15 p.m. in Waterbury, police charged Carson Haskins, 25, of Waterbury with driving under the influence, second offense. Police said Haskins was stopped for speeding on South Main Street, which led to the DUI charge.

On Oct. 20, police conducted heavy patrols of Interstate 89 in search of impaired or distracted drivers. Five drivers received tickets and 15 received warnings.

On Oct. 20, at 10:52 p.m., police charged Matthew C. Spaulding, 35, of Waterbury with driving after license suspension. Police stopped Spaulding on Waterbury-Stowe Road in Waterbury for driving a vehicle with defective equipment.
