Curtain Call: The Odd Couple - Female Version

Cynthia Seckler, left, and Heather Green in Stowe Theatre Guild’s production of “The Odd Couple – Female Version.”

The final three shows for Stowe Theatre Guild’s production of “The Odd Couple (Female Version)” are tonight through Saturday, Oct. 18, 19 and 20, at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall Theatre, 67 Main St. in Stowe. “The Odd Couple” debuted on Broadway in 1965, and 20 years later, playwright Neil Simon revised it, with Olive and Florence taking the place of Oscar and Felix. A mismatched pair of friends — one, a slob, the other a neat freak — move in together while one goes through a divorce, and all sorts of madcap misunderstandings ensue. Heather Green of Morrisville and Cynthia Seckler of North Fayston star as the off-balance duo. “This is a safe space to come and laugh. This is a safe space to come and watch really awesome women supporting each other and having a lot of fun and being able to laugh at each other but also being able to laugh with each other,” said director Chiara Hollender. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for students and $14 children, available at stowetheatre.com, 802-253-3961, and at the box office ahead of shows.
