Devin Fadden, 19, of Hyde Park demolished his truck, injured his knee and hip, and faces a drunken-driving charge after an accident Nov. 25 at 9:46 p.m. on Route 302 in Groton.
Fadden’s 2016 GMC truck received major front-end damage in the crash, state police said, and he was taken to the hospital for treatment of knee and hip pain.
Police were alerted to the accident by an Onstar message; as they arrived, Fadden was being removed from the truck by the Groton Fire Department.
Police measured Fadden’s blood-alcohol level at 0.201 percent. He’ll answer the charge Jan. 23 in Orange County Superior Court.
