Molly Davies, Milford Cushman and Terri Gregory will be honored with service and leadership awards by the board of trustees of Helen Day Art Center on Saturday, April 29 at the Black & White Ball benefit gala.
“Molly Davies is a renowned artist who has been actively involved in supporting the Art Center for many years,” Rachel Moore, Helen Day executive director, said. “Her support has been unwavering, and her dedication to challenging, thought-provoking exhibitions relevant to our times is outstanding. … It is because of Molly, and others like her, that we are able to keep our doors open and provide such high caliber exhibitions and programs.”
Milford Cushman and Terri Gregory own and operate Cushman Design Group in Stowe.
“Milford and Terri have dedicated themselves to supporting ‘Exposed,’ our outdoor sculpture exhibition, almost from inception,” Moore said. “They have been deeply invested in helping the Art Center present sculpture throughout the town and they believe highly in the importance of that. … They have been true ambassadors for us, and for many other organizations. We are so fortunate to have them in this community.”
This year marks the 28th annual benefit gala for the Art Center. Organized and led by board and community members, the event attracts as many as 300 guests to the event in support of the Helen Day’s mission and programming.
On average, 40 artists and over 150 local businesses and individuals contribute to the silent and live auction. This year 25 individuals and businesses underwrote the event as sponsors and co-presenters.
