Stowe Community Church hosts the return of the non-denominational Easter sunrise service atop Mt. Mansfield Sunday, March 31.

Join fellow early risers for a complimentary gondola ride between 5 and 6:05 a.m. (weather permitting).

Ski or ride down the mountain, or, if you don’t ski, ride the gondola back down. Sorry, no hiking.

The first Easter sunrise service atop Mt. Mansfield was led by Stowe Community Church pastor Rev. Douglas Brayton in 1955. That service was held atop the old single chair near the Octagon.

Stowe Easter Sunrise Parking

To those attending the sunrise service on Easter Sunday, March 31.

If your car will remain in the lot during the paid parking program 8 a.m.-2 p.m., you will need to register your plate via QR code placed in the gondola cabins and loading area. A special sunrise service, free parking code will be issued to all attendees regardless of carpool status. This code will only be valid for use during the event.

Normal paid parking operations will begin for the 8 a.m.-2 p.m. ski operations period that day.

Q: Is parking free for the sunrise service?

A: Yes, however if you intend to stay beyond 8 a.m., you must register your plate in the system to receive free parking during the 8 a.m.-2 p.m. ski area operations program.

Q: If I plan to leave prior to 8 a.m. do I still need to register my car?

A: No. Paid parking enforcement starts at 8 a.m.

Q: How do I register my plate?

A: Park and remember your plate number. There will be QR codes available in the gondola barn and in the cabins themselves.

Q: Will shuttles be running from the free lots for Sunrise Service?

A: No. Free parking code will be issued to all Sunrise Service guests at the Gondola. Shuttles will run to free parking lots for normal operations at 6:30 a.m.
