Community breakfast

A community breakfast will be held Saturday, June 2, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Second Congregational Church, Main and Prospect streets, Hyde Park. The menu includes pancakes, sausage, eggs, pastries, with coffee, tea and orange juice. Donations will be accepted. A free soup and bread lunch is planned Saturday, June 16. Choral concert

Village Harmony, a central Vermont chorus that focuses on world music, will perform Saturday, June 9, at 7 p.m. at the Second Congregational Church in Hyde Park. The group, led by Larry Gordon, has performed widely throughout the United States and Europe. The concert will feature Balkan-Ukrainian music specialist Natalie Nowytski from Minneapolis, South African songs and dances, contemporary shape note songs, and Renaissance motets. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students. Preschoolers get in free. Refreshments will be served at intermission. Information: Dan Young, 888-4675.

Plant sale

The Burlington Garden Club’s annual plant sale is Saturday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a bake and tag sale and silent auction also included at the Vermont Garden Park, 1100 Dorset St., South Burlington. Club members and area nurseries have donated plants and garden-related items. Plant advice will be freely available.

Plant swap

A plant swap will be held after a Children’s Parade Saturday, June 9, at the East Hardwick Grange on Hardwick Street. Drop off plants starting at 10:30 a.m., enjoy the parade from 11 to 11:30 a.m., and the swap will continue until about 1 p.m. Extra plant starts or divided perennials, vegetables, flowers and herbs are all welcome, but not invasive or diseased plants.
