The 19th annual Stowe Weekend of Hope brought about 1,200 cancer patients, survivors, doctors and specialists, caregivers and their families to town for an educational and inspirational retreat.

Many local businesses and individuals donated goods, money, and hotel rooms — available at no cost to first-time attendees — to the nonprofit, and performances and ecumenical services were presented by the Greater Stowe Interfaith Coalition, GameShowsVT, the TRIP Dance Company of Stowe Dance Academy, singer Natalie Allen, Stowe’s fifth-grade rock band the Blue Diamonds, pianist and composer Christopher Vigneau and more.

Next year’s event is planned for the the first weekend in May; find more information at stowehope.org.
