Hannah Elizabeth Ackley, 21, of South Walden, died unexpectedly on Jan. 18, 2017, surrounded by loved ones. Hannah was born on November 12, 1995, daughter of Scott Ackley and Mary Ann (Reed) Ackley. She was beautiful inside and out and will always be cherished by family and friends.
Hannah was known for her kind heart, sense of humor, infectious laugh, brave spirit and love of music. She was intrigued by her native Blackfoot roots and was learning more about her heritage. Hannah loved animals, especially dogs, which led her to consider a career as a veterinarian.
Hannah is survived by her parents, Scott Ackley and Mary (Reed) Ackley; brother Kevin; sisters Carly and April; fiancé Kenneth and family; several aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and very dear friends. In her all-too-short life, she gave to others; she made a difference.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 24 at 6 p.m. at 629 Keene Rd., South Walden. All who knew her are welcome. A brief service will be followed by a potluck dinner and air-lantern lighting. Guests are asked to bring a single flower of any kind to add to a bouquet that will be distributed with her ashes by the family.
Donations can be made in Hannah’s memory and honor to The Megan House Foundation, 31 Kirk Street, Lowell, MA 01852.
