Homelessness has been on the rise across the nation, in Vermont and in Lamoille County. In response, students in a macroeconomics class at the Community College of Vermont, Morrisville have been working with Seeds of Change and the Housing and Homelessness Coalition to organize a community discussion on homelessness to raise awareness and funds for the cause.

A community discussion on homelessness will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on May 2 at the Hyde Park VFW. The students have researched the economic implications of homelessness and prepared several discussion groups so citizens can brainstorm solutions to help the homeless.
