A sizable crowd gathered atop Mt. Mansfield Sunday morning for Stowe’s 2022 Easter sunrise service under the direction of Stowe Community Church and Rev. Dan Haugh, who was assisted by members of the congregation and with musical offerings by Christopher Vigneau.
Stowe Community Church hosts the return of the non-denominational Easter sunrise service atop Mt. Mansfield Sunday, March 31.
Join fellow early risers for a complimentary gondola ride between 5 and 6:05 a.m. (weather permitting).
Ski or ride down the mountain, or, if you don’t ski, ride the gondola back down. Sorry, no hiking.
The first Easter sunrise service atop Mt. Mansfield was led by Stowe Community Church pastor Rev. Douglas Brayton in 1955. That service was held atop the old single chair near the Octagon.
Times for the gondola rides on Easter have been corrected. This story was updated with parking information that was sent after the print edition published.
