Gerald G. Ranges
Gerald George “Jerry” Ranges, 80, of Stowe, died on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, with his wife Lis by his side.
Jerry and Lis moved to Stowe in 1972 to raise their family. In Stowe he owned and ran a bicycle shop, the Baggy Knees Bar & Restaurant and then went on to start his own construction company, building over 100 homes of his own design.
Jerry was an avid sportsman, world traveler and was infamous for wearing shorts all winter while training for Ironman triathlons and skiing in jeans. He was an Ironman Triathlon world record holder, and a global ambassador of the sport.
In the 1990s he and his family relocated to Hawaii.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Lis, and two children, Phaedra and Trevor.
